team is a specialist group of around 30 professionals
focused on sample management for genomics and other
applications. The team have been successfully working
in partnership with customers to implement sample
management systems since the early 1990’s.
They are committed to ensuring that our products
deliver value and reliability as well as strategic
benefits by addressing key process bottlenecks in
the life sciences industry. |

Ian Ransome
heads the TAP sample management team and is responsible
for its genomics business, leveraging the company’s
established range of systems.
Ian brings broad experience of the life science
automation market to his role at TAP. Previously,
Ian held key positions at EMAX and Tecan (UK), encompassing
senior roles in sales, application development,
market strategy and corporate development. Ian holds
a BSc with honours in Cell Biology and Biochemistry
from the University of York. |

of dedicated technical support services - including
field-based engineers in the US and Europe, customer
champions, a spares and consumables supply, as
well as a Helpdesk. These ensure high system availability
and maximum productivity over the long term. TAP
work together with users to ensure we tailor a
solution to meet the needs of each installation. |

Standard services range from training courses to
increase system availability and productivity, through
customised services to enable rapid start-up and
improved sample delivery. TAP can also provide on-site
personnel to operate and maintain your systems. |

TAP offers
a mix of established labware items and new developments
- both in-house designs for TAP automation systems,
as well as those developed in collaboration with
leading labware and consumable suppliers.
The 'TAP Consumables' website provides further details
on the sample management consumables range and features
an online quotation request system. All quotation
requests and questions are managed by a dedicated
team within the TAP Partnership Services group.
