PCR set up and assay assembly for high throughput genotyping - BasePlate
BasePlate is an automated system for high throughput assay assembly and plate replication disciplines.
Relevant to both whole genome scanning and clinical trial scenarios, the Centre National de Genotypage, France, is using two BasePlates as part of its genotyping programme.
BasePlate automates

  • Aspirating and dispensing into 96, 384 and 1536-well plates
  • Plate reformatting
  • Plate replication eg mother/daughter plates
  • Highly accurate serial dilution
  • Tip changing and/or washing to eliminate cross contamination
  • Full barcode tracking and operator compliance
A range of options, such as tip washing and reagent blocks, are available to suit customer’s specific requirements.
  BasePlate offers

  • Consistent, high quality plate replication with tight CVs (<5%)
  • High capacity and process throughput – typically 12,000 plates per day
  • Reliable unattended operation - frees scientific staff for higher value assay optimisation and analysis activities
  • Complete flexibility in set-up of processes to mirror customer’s current activities
  • Reliable technology, proven within a number of leading genomics and drug discovery laboratories
  • Forms part of GLP compliant genotyping system
  • LIMS compatibility, via script and XML files
Applications include

  • High throughput PCR assembly
  • High throughput genomic assay assembly
  • DNA plate reformatting
  • Preparation of MALDI targets for mass spectrometry analysis
