SelecT™
is the leading automated cell culture system
for multiple cell-lines and assay-ready
plate production, with over 40 installations
world-wide. It improves the quality and
availability of cellular reagents and fully
automates manual cell culture methods. |
| |
Cell lines are maintained
and expanded in T-175 format flasks. The
system design ensures that there is no cross
contamination even when many cell lines
are cultured in parallel. Cells can be harvested,
counted and seeded without operator intervention
- at any time, day or night, to help optimise
screening productivity. |

SelecT was designed by TAP
with a consortium of 6 major pharmaceutical
companies - GlaxoSmithKline,
Merck, Pfizer, Bristol-Myers Squibb, AstraZeneca
and Parke-Davis
(now Pfizer).
Today it is used to supply consistent, high
quality cells in different plate formats
at multiple locations within the majority
of the top ten pharmaceutical companies,
where it facilitates assay development and
transferability of protocols between sites. |
